Igor Kagramanyan has been appointed auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Igor Kagramanyan graduated from the Yaroslavl State Medical Institute in 1986. From 1987, he worked as a psychiatrist and head of the department at the Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Hospital. From 1991 to 2007, he worked at the Yaroslavl State Medical Academy.
From 2007 to 2012, he was the first deputy director of the Department of Health and Pharmacy of the Yaroslavl Region Administration, and also headed this department.
He then moved to the Russian Ministry of Health, where he oversaw medical education and accreditation, personnel issues, drug supply, and other matters. He became First Deputy Minister, and in 2017, he joined the Federation Council as First Deputy Head of the Committee on Social Policy.
In 2020, following the appointment of Mikhail Murashko as Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Kagramanyan returned to the ministry in his previous position. In January 2021, he became head of the Government of the Russian Federation's Department of Health. The department was created as a result of public administration reform. Previously, healthcare was integrated into the social sector, headed by Sergei Velmyaykin.
