Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and the imprisoned presidential candidate of the Republican People's Party (CHP), sent a new message from Silivri Prison.
İmamoğlu's message was voiced by artificial intelligence and shared visually.
The video, published on the Presidential Candidate Office's X account, included the caption, "Neither pressure, nor obstacles, nor shady attempts will stop this march. Because we are right, because we are the people, because we are the Republic!"

Addressing citizens, İmamoğlu said the following in the video voiced and animated by artificial intelligence:
"My dear companions, valued CHP members, dear citizens, today, on the anniversary of the founding of our Republic, we share the pride of being willing to pay any price for the quest for freedom and equality in a struggle that has lasted over a century.
Just as the name of this party succeeded in becoming the symbol of our nation's resurgence 100 years ago, the same duty and responsibility rests on our shoulders today.
Dear friends, a year ago, our nation entrusted us with a historic responsibility by making the CHP the leading party in the local elections. This result was our people's cry, "Change must begin now!" The subsequent March 19th Coup Attempt was an attempt not just against a single party, but against the will of the people. As we shoulder the burden for democracy, every citizen must also shoulder the burden. We know that the nation's independence will be saved by the people's determination and resolve.
My dear citizens, we are building a new vision for both our party and our country. Our vision for our party is clear: a more democratic, more participatory, and more inclusive CHP. A CHP that stands with its citizens every day. A CHP that listens to its citizens and speaks for their truth. A CHP that makes us say, "Only the CHP can put this country on the right path."
Our vision for Türkiye is even more ambitious. We want to eradicate income inequality. We envision a country where those who provide better products and services win, not those chasing easy money or illegal organizations.
We envision a Türkiye where young people dream of a country where women have an equal and powerful presence in every aspect of society, and where freedom and justice belong to everyone.
Dear friends, today, societies are unfortunately turning a deaf ear to urgent problems and turning a blind eye to so-called democrats who engage in identity politics, turning to the populist right. This is why democracy is in crisis worldwide.
As the Republican People's Party (CHP), we are presenting a model that will serve as an example to the world and provide a solution to this crisis. A CHP that is united with its own people and courageously addresses contemporary challenges based on freedom and justice will be a beacon of hope not only for Türkiye, but also for the region and the world.
My dear friends, we have a challenging road ahead of us. I extend my endless gratitude to our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, who has been tirelessly fighting on this front line. I also extend my deepest sympathies to the CHP members, the indomitable soldiers of this struggle.
I wholeheartedly believe that the current congress will produce a vision that accelerates the transformation our party is undergoing and prepares us for our journey to power. We are descendants of the Republican People's Party, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Our power comes from the nation. Our will is the Republic. Our path is bright. Neither oppression nor dark obstacles will stop it. Because we are right, because we are the people. Because we are Republicans. Long live the Republican People's Party, long live the Republic, long live democracy.
