Scandalous incident! Millions of dollars in fraud over cancer drugs

A scandalous incident broke out in Kayseri.
Allegedly, Cafer Bıyıklı (65), who had been treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) for about 3 years, was discharged from Erciyes University Medical Faculty Hospital after his treatment.
Bıyıklı later experienced a great shock at the pharmacy where he went to buy his medication.
Cafer Bıyıklı said that the pharmacist he had been going to for years to get his medication had repeatedly purchased the cancer drug "RYDAPT" on his behalf, which costs hundreds of thousands of lira per box.
CB, who said he did not take these medications, learned that millions of liras were stolen through prescriptions written in his name.
In the investigation, it was determined that Bıyıklı had purchased cancer medication from five different pharmacies using prescriptions issued in his name by different doctors.
Thereupon, CB went to the Social Security Institution (SGK) and reported the situation.
Following the complaint, the Social Security Institution (SGK) Kayseri Provincial Directorate launched an investigation into the drug fraud.
Erciyes University and the Kayseri Provincial Health Directorate also launched an investigation into the incident. It was learned that one box of cancer medications cost 280,000 lira.
“I DON’T EVEN KNOW THE DIRECTIONS TO THE PHARMACIES THAT FULFILL PRESCRIPTIONS”Cafer Bıyıklı recounted his experience to the local Kayseri news website gastepress. Bıyıklı said, “After my treatment, I went to my regular pharmacy. The pharmacist there told me that I had been prescribed a very expensive drug called 'RYDAPT' many times before. I've never heard of it, used it, or bought it. I don't even know the pharmacies that fill these prescriptions, and I don't even know where to find it.”
Bıyıklı stated that he contacted the relevant authorities after discovering the drug fraud using prescriptions issued in his name. Cafer Bıyıklı stated the following:
As soon as I realized the situation, I went to the Social Security Institution (SGK) Provincial Directorate and submitted an official petition. A year has passed. SGK simply told me, "We've launched an investigation." I also learned that Erciyes University's Faculty of Medicine and the Provincial Health Directorate are also conducting their own internal investigations. But there's still no clear outcome.
“THERE IS A VERY CLEAR FRAUD OUT THERE”Drawing attention to the magnitude of the scandal, Bıyıklı expressed his astonishment with the following words:
This situation both surprised and saddened me. Documents show the price of a box of the drug RYDAPT as 280,000 TL. It has been determined that several other doctors, including my own doctor, Prof. Dr. Ali Ünal, also wrote these prescriptions in my name.
These medications were later purchased by someone else. This is clearly a fraud. The Social Security Institution (SGK) has suffered numerous losses, and someone has profited significantly from this. And all the prescriptions were written in my name.
Cafer Bıyıklı called on the Ministry of Health to point out that this incident is not just an individual but a systematic fraud.
Bıyıklı stated that an investigation should be conducted into how many people like him have been victimized, saying, "I'm not just a victim here; I also witnessed how my state was robbed. All these prescriptions were written in my name. The Ministry of Health should hear me. Please intervene in this fraud network immediately. We don't even know how many more people like me are victims. State resources have gone into someone's pocket, and accountability must be held for this."
