In 2024, Roszdravnadzor withdrew 248 batches of substandard drugs from free circulation

The seized goods included substandard drugs (242 series of drugs under 95 trade names were seized for this reason) and drugs that were in circulation in violation of the requirements established by law (the circulation of five series under three trade names was suspended). Roszdravnadzor recognized one trade name from one series as counterfeit.
During the cooperation of the territorial bodies of the service with the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office, 323 joint events were held, as a result of which the illegal circulation of almost 6 thousand packages of drugs for a total of more than 7.1 million rubles was stopped. Based on such violations, seven criminal cases were initiated under Article 238.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Circulation of counterfeit, poor-quality and unregistered drugs, medical devices and circulation of counterfeit biologically active additives."
Rospotrebnadzor also presented data on the operation of the Honest SIGN system. In 2024, Russians used this mobile application to check the legality of the medicine they were buying more than 2.7 million times. Over the same period, users of the platform sent about 8 thousand reports of violations.
In 2024, the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund and health insurance organizations received 47 thousand requests, of which 4.8 thousand were from insured persons. In 2023, insurance organizations received a total of 11.4% (4.8 thousand) fewer complaints. In 2024, regulators considered 33.3 thousand requests justified. About 400 requests reported difficulties with the purchase of medicines, medical devices, and consumables by the patient or his representative when receiving medical care in a day hospital. In 2023, there were 3.7 times fewer such complaints.
Rospotrebnadzor also reported on the achieved indicators of the pace of legalization of the dietary supplement market. According to the regulator, the annual reduction in the volume of violations in this industry reached 20.2%.
