The Ministry of Health has made the Nomenclature of Medical Worker Positions indefinite

Amendments were made to Order No. 205n of May 2, 2023 "On approval of the Nomenclature of positions of medical workers and pharmaceutical workers" and Order No. 649n of December 4, 2023, which changed some provisions of the first document. Now No. 649n also does not mention the expiration of the validity period.
The Ministry of Health proposed to adjust the Nomenclature of Positions of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers in April 2025. At that time, the department intended to extend its validity until March 1, 2027. According to the explanatory note to the draft order, the decision to extend was necessary "in order to prevent a gap in legal regulation in terms of regulating" the nomenclature of positions of medical and pharmaceutical workers.
As a result, the document became indefinite. Vademecum sent a request to the Russian Ministry of Health to clarify the reasons for this decision.
In 2023, the list of positions was expanded to include a number of positions, including a doctor of an emergency medical team, a cyberneticist, a senior sports medicine doctor, a medical speech therapist, a neuropsychologist, a physical rehabilitation specialist (kinesio specialist), and an ergorehabilitation specialist (ergo specialist).
At the same time, the Ministry of Health excluded some positions from the document, for example, the positions of obstetrician-gynecologist of the workshop medical district, clinical mycologist, laboratory mycologist, ophthalmologist-prosthetist, audiologist-prosthetist, city (district) pediatrician, adolescent psychiatrist, district adolescent psychiatrist, district psychiatrist-narcologist. They were retained only for specialists who were hired before September 1, 2023.
