Jalisco currently ranks second in the country in measles cases, with a total of 115 infections and 17 probable cases as of yesterday, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
With this, the state is only behind Chihuahua, where 4,406 cases have been detected. Despite this, the state's Health Secretary, Héctor Raúl Pérez, emphasized that the percentage of positive tests has decreased from 65% to 50% in recent days.

The age group most affected by measles in Jalisco is children between 5 and 9 years old, although cases have also been detected in adults up to 50 years old. People who are unvaccinated or have an incomplete vaccination schedule are more likely to contract the disease.
