Go!2025, the two capitals also united in blood donation

June 14th is celebrated World Blood Donor Day, a moment when remember the importance of the gesture of donation not only as health facility, but also and above all as a cultural value of active citizenship and social solidarity. The cultural importance of the gesture of donation takes on further meanings of peace and brotherhood in the year in which Gorizia and Nova Gorica are together the European Capital of culture: precisely to underline the "cultural value" of the gesture of the donation, the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Fidas Isontina and the Slovenian Red Cross of Nova Gorica will celebrate the annual event in the significant setting of Piazza of Transalpina/Trg Evrope. During the day, some gifts will be delivered defibrillators and the twinning between the Croce will be renewed Red Slovenian of Nova Gorica and the Fidas Isontina section of Ronchi dei Legionari. At the end, the long-awaited inauguration official of the new mobile regional collection unit, which will replace the one currently in service and which will be named after the unforgettable Egidio Bragagnolo. The new bloodmobile was purchased by Fidas Isontina with the support of the Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, of the Savings Bank Foundation of Gorizia and of the Savings Bank Rurale del Friuli Venezia Giulia: it will enter into service by the end of summer.
