Coast Guard assists yachtsman in difficulty

The Operations Room of the X Center Trieste Maritime Rescue Secondary received a Report from the Port Authority of Monfalcone concerning a pleasure boat stranded between Marina Julia and Punta Barene, with one person on board. The unit, about 6 meters long with outboard engine, was driven by a citizen of Italian nationality in good standing health conditions. In order to ensure the safety of the requesting assistance, once the same has been located, is the coastal naval unit GC B174 of the Office has been activated Grado Maritime District which managed to get close to the shallow water area to allow the recovery of the yachtsman. Next, check the excellent conditions of health, the man was transported to the port of Monfalcone in safety. The Coast Guard recommends using maximum caution to weather conditions which can often be a source of danger or even of changes in the seabed in the areas characterized by shallow depths, with increased possibilities of problems that may occur with increased risks to for navigation safety purposes.
