Reactions caused by the recalled pasta, according to Cofepris

Colgate Clean Mint toothpaste was withdrawn from the market by the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) because Complaints were received about possible adverse reactions. The affected product, according to the agency in a statement, is Colgate Total Active Prevention Toothpaste CLEAN MINT, manufactured in Mexico by Colgate-Palmolive SA de CV.
According to Cofepris, reactions can vary from person to person, but it is recommended to be alert if reactions such as:
- Mouth irritation
- Inflammation of the gums
- Pain in the mouth
- Dental sensitivity
- Ulcers, canker sores, or boils
- Allergic reaction

The recall applies only to Colgate Total Prevention Active Clean Mint Toothpaste. If you have this product at home, please contact the company to return it. No other affected models have been reported.
"This document is issued pursuant to Articles 4, paragraph four, of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States; 17 and 39, section XXI, of the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration; 1, 17 Bis, section I, of the General Health Law; and 3, section I, 12, of the Regulations of the Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks," the statement reads.
Cofepris will continue monitoring and will release any new information it detects, with the goal of protecting the public's health and ensuring that products comply with current health laws.
