The Dentists and Other Healthcare Workers' Union (Dişhek-Sen) held its first ordinary general assembly. Following the general assembly, the union released a statement. The statement emphasized that the union is the first and only union representing public sector dentists. The statement emphasized that unions operating in the healthcare sector have failed to adequately address the unique problems faced by public sector dentists. The statement continued, "Dişhek-Sen is unconditionally committed to the principles of democracy and the secular republic, as well as to Atatürk's principles and reforms. Our union's sole policy is health policies. Having no affiliation with any political party, organization, or ideology, Dişhek-Sen operates solely with a perspective that prioritizes the development of public dentists and oral and dental health services."
