Six people were injured during the evacuation of a Ryanair flight at Palma de Mallorca Airport after a fire alarm was triggered on board the plane.
The incident occurred on the night of Friday to Saturday, July 4 to 5. The Ryanair plane was supposed to fly to Manchester. The German "Bild" writes about 18 injured people, six of whom were hospitalized. Their injuries are not serious, however.
Passengers left the plane using special evacuation ramps, but some panicked and jumped out onto the runway. Earlier, a fire alarm had gone off on board the plane, which turned out to be false.
According to Polsat News, footage that has hit the web shows some passengers panicking and jumping from the plane onto the runway. According to Polsat reports, the information about the false fire alarm was confirmed by a Ryanair spokesman.
According to The Sun, four ambulances were sent to the scene, and the fire brigade and police also appeared on the airport tarmac.
