This year, the 14th pension will be paid as in 2024. The rules for paying the benefit will not change either. The full amount will be paid to pensioners and annuitants whose basic monthly benefit does not exceed PLN 2,900.

The draft of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy on the payment of the 14th pension was published in the government's work list. It shows that the so-called fourteenth pension, as in previous years, will reach the accounts of pensioners and annuitants in September.

This year, the full amount of the benefit will be exactly PLN 1,878.91 gross, which is the current minimum pension. According to the act, the full amount will be received by people whose monthly basic benefit (pension or disability pension) does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross.

After exceeding this amount, the benefit is reduced according to the principle of zloty for zloty. This means that, for example:

with a benefit of PLN 3,000 - it will amount to PLN 1,778.91,
at PLN 3,500 - PLN 1,378.91,
at 4,500 PLN - 378.91 PLN.

Let us recall that the 14th pension is free from deductions. It is also not included in the income when applying for social benefits, alimony or 500 plus for dependents. Only the health insurance contribution and the advance payment on income tax are collected.

The 14th pension was paid for the first time in 2021. In July 2023, President Andrzej Duda signed a law according to which it is paid to retirees and pensioners every year.
