Kobido: the ancestral Japanese art of anti-aging massage that reshapes the face

Kobido: the ancestral Japanese art of anti-aging massage that reshapes the face

In practice, the masseur performs "a special treatment based on percussion, smoothing, kneading, vibration, and pressure," describes Josaphat Saussaye, a disciple of Dr. Shogo Mochizuki in France. "The goal of a Kobido treatment is to improve the circulatory system, free the facial nerves and connective tissues, relax the muscles, and drain the lymph to eliminate toxins and also stimulate the energy points that act on our organs and nervous system."

A precise protocol governs the treatment. "It begins with the bust to stimulate blood circulation, then moves to the face to trigger the awakening of the meridians. Then come the left (yang) and right (yin) sides," explains Josaphat Saussaye. "The goal is to shift the energies from one side to the other in order to rebalance the entire body."

"Receiving a Kobido massage regularly helps reshape the oval of the face, smooth the skin, preserve its youthfulness, and add luminosity," says Priscilla Pascaline, another disciple of Dr. Shogo Mochizuki in France. To discover other certified estheticians, click here.
