Chikungunya in Bergerac: 37 cases identified, another mosquito control operation planned for this Thursday
The latest report from Public Health France published on Wednesday, September 3, reports seven new cases leading to new targeted treatments.
Mosquito control operations are continuing uninterrupted in Bergerac (Dordogne). A new targeted treatment will be carried out during the night of Thursday, September 4th to Friday, September 5th in the Costes area, not far from the Picquecailloux plain. It concerns the Impasse du Berger, the streets Lucie-Aubrac, de Campréal, Gilbert-Privat, de la Pommeraie, Verlaine, Théophile-Gautier, Victoire, Rodolphe-Bruzac, and the street and Impasse des Lauriers.
According to the latest report from Public Health France published Wednesday, September 3, seven new cases of chikungunya have been identified in the Bergerac outbreak area. A total of 37 cases have been identified since the start of the arbovirosis epidemic, a disease transmitted by the tiger mosquito. These new cases explain the series of mosquito control operations that have affected the Vaures district, the city center around Notre-Dame church, and the hospital district.
