In Menton, 183 future caregivers are starting their new school year on the site of the former Saint-Julien hospital

This Monday, 183 students and pupils passed through the doors of the former Saint-Julien hospital for the start of the new school year at the Nursing Training Institute (Ifsi) and the Nursing Assistant Training Institute (Ifas).

Among them, 142 nursing students and 41 nursing assistant students, divided into four classes - three in Ifsi and one in Ifas.

All were welcomed by Mylène Ezavin, director of the establishment, surrounded by the administrative and educational teams, as well as by the deputy delegate for Health, representing the mayor of Menton.

"This year is the last intake before the new training framework in 2026," Mylène Ezavin reminded us. "We are strengthening interprofessionalism, opening our Erasmus program, and integrating digital technology into healthcare. The Student Office continues to boost student life."

With these announced developments, the Ifsi and Ifas of Menton are continuing their adaptation to the needs of the profession and the expectations of new generations of caregivers.

183. This is the number of nursing and nursing assistant students who have started their new school year at the Saint-Julien site. This year, the Menton IFSI (Institute for the Study of Nursing and Nursing Homes) received 4,760 applications on Parcoursup - 600 more than for 2024-2025, said Mylène Ezavin, director of the French Riviera Hospital Group.
