Important recall at Lidl: Basmati rice is contaminated with pesticides

Lidl is recalling rice due to excessive pesticide levels. Consumption can be harmful. Customers at all stores will receive their money back.

Lidl has launched a recall for Golden Sun Basmati rice (via: " produktwarnung.eu "). Investigations have revealed that the rice contains the pesticide chlorpyrifos in quantities that exceed the legal limit.

Chlorpyrifos is particularly dangerous for children, as it can potentially cause neurological damage. As a precautionary measure, Lidl has immediately removed the product from sale and is offering affected customers a refund.

This affects products sold in Baden-Württemberg, in particular batch M0363 with a best-before date of February 12, 2027.

Customers can return the rice to all Lidl stores and receive their money back even without presenting a receipt.
