Make 'perfect' poached egg's with professional chef's foolproof method every time

While cooking poached eggs is second nature to some, others struggle with the process from start to finish and end up with a fluffy mess on their plate.
Chef Kelly Scott, who is known as @kellyscleankitchen on social media, has taken to TikTok to share how she makes the perfect poached eggs every single time.
In a short 42-second video, she runs through the process you need to follow to help you dish up a top-notch breakfast in a morning - all without having to worry about creating "fluffy eggs".
She said: "I used to have to poach hundreds of eggs for breakfast service and this is a foolproof way to make the perfect poached egg.
"Crack an egg into a fine strainer. This allows the loose whites to go through and the firm to stay, making it more uniform."
From here, she puts her cracked eggs into a ramekin and checks her water is around 180C - or "barely bubbling" - before gently swirling the water around and gently lowering her egg into the centre.
After this, she swirls the water around one more time before flipping the egg upside down once the white starts to form.
She added: "Leave it for two to three minutes and check by gently pressing on the yolk. The yolk should jiggle, but the whites are set.
"Put it on a paper towel and then serve. You can do this with multiple eggs at once and it still works."
Commenting on her video, one user said: "Used your technique tonight and my poached eggs were perfect."
Another user added: "I have tried countless times to poach an egg. Failed. Every. Time. I’m so excited to try this method. Eggs? Cold or room temperature?"
A third user said: "They do look perfect but what I do is I put an egg yolk in a ramekin with water and microwave it for 28 seconds perfect."
One more user added: "My DIY way: put cling film over a mug, add a splash of oil, crack egg in, wrap up, put in boiling water for 4 mins. Eggsellent result every time."
Another user said: "This inspired me to make poached eggs as soon as I saw it. I've literally never made them myself before and it actually worked really well!"
A final user said: "Eggs are the hardest thing in the world for me to cook so I’ll try this."
