“I can’t believe I’m back here,” she admitted, referencing the pain of losing her husband just years earlier.

She emphasized the need for openness, saying,

“I never want my kids to feel I wasn’t honest. Years later, they shouldn’t say, ‘Mum, you didn’t tell me this.’”.

How Kelsey and Her Family Are Coping

Despite the pain, Kelsey Parker remains determined to maintain normalcy for her kids. “They have to go to school. I did the school run because you have to rip the plaster off,” she said.

She and partner Will Lindsay take each day as it comes.

“Grief looks different for everyone. If you can’t get out of bed, don’t. If you can face the day, do,”

she advised.

Social media became overwhelming, so she stepped away.

“I needed time. Everyone sent love, but I had to process this privately”.

The Poem Honoring Phoenix

Kelsey shared a touching poem for her son on Instagram:

“Born sleeping, forever loved… Our precious boy, our angel light, born with wings, took silent flight”.

The tribute reflected her belief in speaking openly about loss.

“Talking about death is important. We’re guaranteed to die, so why hide from it?”.
