YSK made its decision for the İYİ Party provincial congress

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) evaluated the cancellation application made by Neslihan Koca Nergiz regarding the İYİ Party Kahramanmaraş Provincial Congress held on July 19, 2020.
The Supreme Election Council (YSK) decision emphasized that the congress results became final on July 21, 2020, and that no objections had been filed by that date. The Board ruled that no action could be taken under election law and unanimously rejected the appeal.
In her petition, Nergiz alleged that the 25% women's quota stipulated in Article 13 of the İYİ Party's bylaws had not been met and that three women on the list of elected supreme council delegates (Esma Kalaycı, Elmas Apaydın, and Semra Sert) had resigned, leading to the transfer of male members to the list. Arguing that this situation violated the bylaws, Nergiz demanded the cancellation of the congress on the grounds of "complete illegality."
The Supreme Election Council (YSK), referring to Article 21 of the relevant law, emphasized that objections regarding the elections must be made before the election results become final.
A copy of the decision was sent to the Onikişubat 1st District Election Board to be notified to the applicant.
