She defeated breast cancer twice, the same cancer that killed her mother, with her determination and the support of her family.

Engin, a mother of one, was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age after her mother was diagnosed with it.
Engin was diagnosed with breast cancer after checkups at Tekirdağ State Hospital in 2011.
Engin, who defeated cancer in 6 years with treatment, was diagnosed with breast cancer again in 2017, 6 months after the end of her treatment.
Despite the psychological difficulties he faced with his second diagnosis, Engin did not give up and, with his determination and the support of his family, he defeated cancer again and held on to life.
Engin, who provides training to women as a master instructor in the field of clothing production technology, has been living a healthy life for 5 years.
Engin told an AA correspondent that the process he went through strengthened him both physically and spiritually.
Engin, who stated that she first encountered cancer after her mother's diagnosis, said, "After my mother's illness, I became more conscious of my own health. I started regularly checking myself. I was first diagnosed in 2011. After treatments like chemotherapy, only the tumor was removed. Just when I thought I was back to my normal life, I wanted to be a mother again, so we stopped taking the medication. Then, within six months, I learned I had cancer again."
Engin stated that he always tried to be positive throughout his illness and looked at life with hope.
"I'VE ALWAYS LOOKED AT THINGS MORE POSITIVELY"Engin, who expressed his grief when he learned he had cancer for the second time, said, "I took medication for about six years. The medication had side effects. My friends, my wife, my family—everyone supported me. My mother passed away from this disease. When you have support from your family and those around you, believe me, it's not an insurmountable disease. And it's also about being positive. I've never let go of that positivity. I've always looked at these events with a positive outlook."
Elif Engin stated that it is peaceful for her to continue her life in a healthy way.
"WOMEN SHOULD MAKE THEIR EXAMINATIONS"Engin explained that she tries to set an example for women and other breast cancer survivors with her determination and joy, and added:
"I can say that I was a bit psychologically devastated with my second diagnosis, especially because you go through it without knowing the first one, but with the second one, you go through it knowing everything. So, you know the stages, you know everything, you know what to expect. My second diagnosis was very difficult for me, but I overcame it again. I got through it and am now doing my job. I'm in a great mood. Women should definitely do their own physical examinations. Manual physical examination is absolutely crucial. They should do this, and cancer is never the end of life. As someone who has survived cancer twice, I can be a great example in this regard. If it happened to us, we'll experience it, but as I said, we should live with it in the best possible way."
