Groom missing with wedding jewelry found

Hüseyin Cumhur Acar, the 34-year-old manager of Denizli's amateur league team Akkonakspor, disappeared just three days after his wedding. Acar, who married beautician Ş.A. on Saturday, July 12th, reportedly left his wife's workplace shortly after the wedding, saying, "I'll be back soon." He was never heard from again. His family then reported him to the police and filed a missing person's report.

Allegedly, Acar was mired in approximately 2 million Turkish Lira in debt due to his addiction to online betting and gaming. Acar, reportedly particularly interested in online candy-sliding games and various betting sites, was found to have disappeared with the jewelry worn at his wedding due to both the pressure of debt and threats he received.
GROOM FOUND BY POLICE His family stated that they believed their son had disappeared so he wouldn't have to carry the heavy burden of debt alone, and that they were willing to sacrifice everything they had for his safe return. Hüseyin Cumhur Acar, who had been missing for six days, was found after a police search. Acar reportedly contacted his family and returned home.
