Gaziantep City Hospital has served more than 5.5 million patients in 2 years.

Provincial Health Director Beytullah Şahin, in his statement to reporters on the hospital's Health Street, said that the hospital began service in October 2023 with 805 beds.
Şahin noted that no other hospital in the city had moved here when the hospital opened, saying, "All the departments here have been rebuilt and brought to maturity. As of today, it continues to provide service with 1,875 beds."
Şahin noted that the hospital has achieved a successful performance considering its access to services, appointment times, the quality of services received, and the fact that it serves the region.
Şahin, noting that the hospital's capacity is increasing daily, said, "To date, over 5.5 million patients have been examined at our hospital, around 150,000 patients have been admitted, and over 180,000 surgeries have been performed. Over 55% of these surgeries have been major surgeries, which we call qualified surgeries."
Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ilgın Türkçüoğlu also pointed out that the hospital is developing very rapidly and said:
We work with a dedicated team in establishing clinics, providing quality services, and especially performing surgeries. Compared to other city hospitals, we've accomplished in just two years what many hospitals take five years to achieve. Of course , we have a long way to go, but we've already made it through most of it. Our physicians and healthcare professionals are happy working at our hospital, and we provide our patients with exceptionally high-quality healthcare. We provide quality service by staying abreast of both medical advancements and technological advancements.
Artificial intelligence in the laboratoryTürkçüoğlu stated that artificial intelligence has recently been integrated into the laboratory track and continued as follows:
"A smart system that detects cancer cells on this track actually guides our physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of many patients by alerting us. We also use artificial intelligence in various areas. It significantly shortens our turnaround times for laboratory results. We are a city hospital with very fast appointment and results processing, both for diagnosis, radiology, and all other laboratory services. I believe there is no other hospital in Turkey that works as fast as we do. We perform tests and deliver the results to our patients within just three days."
Deputy Governor Abdullah Şen also emphasized that they aim to take Gaziantep to the top in health services.
The Multi-Disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center (ÇÖZGEM), which will provide multi-faceted treatment for children at risk for developmental issues, was also opened during the program.
