Free in vitro fertilization support for low-income families in Gaziantep

An in vitro fertilization project was implemented in Gaziantep for 200 low-income families who were unable to have children through natural means.
The project, launched by the Metropolitan Municipality to support families after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared 2025 the "Year of the Family," is supported by the Governor's Office, the City Hospital, and the Chamber of Pharmacists.

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsIn vitro fertilization treatment will be started for families who meet the requirements for applications received between March 1 and June 30, and all expenses will be covered by the Metropolitan Municipality and the Governorship.
"Every family wants to have a baby"Metropolitan Municipality Health Services Branch Manager İsmail Özer told an AA correspondent that they wanted to make a meaningful contribution to the Year of the Family with the project.
Speaking about the importance of family for society, Özer noted:
We've received our applications. We're currently in the evaluation phase. We'll refer eligible families to in vitro fertilization centers, and treatments will begin there. We're currently starting with 200 families, but we aim to reach more in the future. Every family wants a baby, and we're doing everything we can to help fulfill that longing.
Özer stated that the municipality is carrying out many projects as part of the "Year of the Family" and that the in vitro fertilization project is an important part of these efforts.
Gaziantep City Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ilgın Türkçüoğlu stated that they were happy to be a partner in the project and that in vitro fertilization procedures take an average of two weeks.
Türkçüoğlu, stating that they will closely monitor the treatment processes, said, "Procedures performed in a laboratory environment allow couples to have children. We believe that many families will realize their dreams within the scope of the project."
