Erdoğan's advisor got away with insults and threats

Chief Advisor to the President, Saadet Oruç, threatened Mehmet Şerif Güran, whom she said insulted her in a chat room she joined via X on the anniversary of Narin Güran's death, saying, "I have my limits. If I don't have you handcuffed behind my back tomorrow, I'm not Saadet either."

Following the outrageous incident, Saadet Oruç acknowledged the insults and threats she received, issuing a statement on her social media account. In her statement, Oruç used the following phrases:

For the past year, I have conscientiously considered myself responsible, as a mother and a citizen, for the solving of Narin Güran's murder and for the discovery of the murderers of an innocent child. The murder of a young child weighs heavily on my heart every night! Because of this responsible and conscientious stance, I have been subjected to dozens of slanders and insults for nearly six months. To this day, I have patiently pursued my rights under the law against these unlawful and unjust accusations. On the anniversary of Narin's murder, I shared an X-shaped message that included the phrase "the feudal lords who buried you at the bottom of that stream are already at the bottom of that stream." A family member, taking the phrase "the feudal lords who buried you at the bottom of the stream," called me "bitch, your lineage is unknown." Overwhelmed by my anger at the person who made these insults, I responded in a manner unbecoming of me in any other setting. This was the breaking point of a process that had been systematically ongoing for months, during which I had been silently seeking my rights in court. I apologize to the entire public for my unbecoming words. I will continue to pursue legal action against the systematic insults, slander, and threats directed at me. Respectfully,
