CHP is reportedly holding an extraordinary congress at the end of September.

According to a report in Cumhuriyet newspaper, the CHP will hold its second extraordinary congress this year due to ongoing judicial operations against its party. This time, the congress will be convened with the signatures of delegates.
"THE REGULAR CONGRESS PROCESS WILL CONTINUE"
CHP officials stated, "The party leader held an extraordinary congress on April 6th. Now, our delegates are calling the party to a congress and demonstrating their will. They are demonstrating that they will not hand the party over to a trustee." Party members stated that even if the congress case results in a trustee or the reinstatement of the previous administration, the extraordinary congress will still be held on September 21st. They added, "Our regular congress process will continue as is. We will conclude all discussions by holding our regular congress around the end of November."
Extraordinary Congress on September 21
While numerous scenarios are being discussed regarding the upcoming congress hearing on September 15th for the CHP, whose Istanbul provincial administration has been suspended by court order, CHP delegates made a surprising move. With nearly a thousand signatures collected, the delegates requested that the party hold an extraordinary congress. An application was submitted to the Çankaya 4th District Election Board, signed by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. Accordingly, the CHP will hold its 22nd Extraordinary Congress on September 21st at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center. In addition to the election for chairman, the congress will also hold elections for members of the Party Assembly and the High Disciplinary Board.
