The head of the Kemerovo Region Ministry of Health resigned

The head of the Kemerovo Region Ministry of Health resigned

Beglov noted that the time when he headed the ministry was not easy, but a lot of work was done. "The healthcare team repaired dozens of medical facilities, and in some areas built new and modern ones from scratch. We equipped medical institutions with an unprecedented amount of modern equipment," Beglov wrote on his VK page.

On the official website of the department, Beglov is currently listed as a minister. The regional government has not announced the official's resignation. Local media, citing their own sources, note that several candidates are being considered for Beglov's position, including Deputy Minister Elena Zelenina and Chief Physician of the Regional Oncology Center Vadim Zakharov.

Dmitry Beglov graduated from the Kemerovo State Medical Academy in 2006 with a degree in General Medicine and also received a second higher education from the Kemerovo State University with a degree in Economics and Enterprise Management. In 2013, he completed professional retraining under the presidential program for training management personnel in the specialty of Management.

He began his career at the City Hospital No. 3 named after M.A. Podgorbunsky in the Kemerovo Region. In 2010, he became deputy director for organizational and methodological work at the Kuzbass Regional Children's Hospital named after Yu.A. Atamanov. In 2016, Dmitry Beglov was appointed director of the Kemerovo Regional Medical Information and Analytical Center. Under his leadership, an analysis of the work of medical organizations in the region was conducted by collecting and processing statistical data.

Two years later, he became the chief physician of the Kuzbass Regional Children's Hospital. He participated in the development of regional projects for the development of children's healthcare, the fight against oncological diseases, the development of primary health care, and the improvement of electronic medical information systems.

Dmitry Beglov was appointed Minister of Health of the Kemerovo Region in April 2022. At that time, he replaced Mikhail Malin, who headed the department from 2018 to December 2021.
