Major changes in the Ministry of Health. New appointments and dismissals.

The Department of Public Health at the Ministry of Health has a new head. Anna Baumann-Popczyk, previously director of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control at the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, has been appointed. There have been more staff changes at the ministry in recent days.
- On July 23, Prime Minister Donald Tusk dismissed the current Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna.
- On the same day, the first staff change took place at Miodowa 15. Renata Jeziółkowska, deputy director of the Communications Office and spokeswoman, resigned from her job.
- In recent days, there have been further personnel changes in the ministry currently headed by Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda
- Among other things, another new director of the Department of Public Health was appointed
Effective August 1, 2025, Anna Baumann-Popczyk became the new director of the Department of Public Health. She joined the Ministry of Health from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, where she headed the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control.
Previously, the Department of Public Health at the Ministry of Health was headed by Dagmara Korbasińska-Chwedczuk , who was appointed director of the Department of Health Equality on August 1 this year.
It's worth noting that the leadership of the Department of Public Health has changed three times since the beginning of 2024. Korbasińska-Chwedczuk took over the position in the fall following the resignation of Joanna Głażewska two months earlier, who had held the position for four months. She replaced Dariusz Poznański in March of last year, who also resigned. He had been with the ministry for nearly 16 years.
This is not the end of changes in the ministry after the appointment of the new Minister of Health, Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda.
As of July 31 of this year, Agata Śmiglewska was dismissed from her position as director of the Department of Analysis and Strategy. Monika Latoszek, the former deputy director of the Department of Education and Health Promotion, also resigned.
In turn, as of August 1, 2025, Magdalena Kramska , the previous head of the transplantology and blood therapy department at the Ministry of Health, was appointed deputy director in the Department of Healthcare.
