Anyone interested in pension supplements may feel disappointed. There are many indications that a lower indexation rate will be recorded in 2026 - warns Superbiz.se.pl.
As reported by Superbiz.se.pl, according to data from the Central Statistical Office, it can be estimated that the indexation of pension supplements in 2026 will reach 4.87% - this is a noticeable decrease compared to the previous year, when the increase in pensions was 5.5%.
The portal, citing the aforementioned data, states that inflation in April was 4.2%, with wage growth in March reaching 7.7%. Assuming that the indicators were at the same level throughout the year, the indexation could amount to 4.87%, which is 0.63 percentage points less than in 2025.
This change will also affect the amount of pension benefits. As a result, in 2026 the indexation of benefits will be lower than before. Thus, the amount of benefits may amount to next year (according to Superbiz.se.pl):
- veterans' allowance – PLN 365.18 (an increase of PLN 16.96);
- compensatory allowance – PLN 54.77 (an increase of PLN 2.54);
- supplement to the war invalid's pension – PLN 1,398.19 (an increase of PLN 64.95);
- additional cash benefit for soldiers – PLN 365.18 (an increase of PLN 16.96);
- care allowance – PLN 365.18 (an increase of PLN 16.96);
- allowance for clandestine teaching – PLN 365.18 (an increase of PLN 16.96);
- supplement for a complete orphan – PLN 686.36 (an increase of PLN 31.88);
- additional cash benefit for persons deported for forced labour and imprisoned in labour camps by the Third Reich and the USSR – depending on the number of full months of work – from PLN 18.31 to PLN 365.18 (increase from PLN 0.85 to PLN 16.96);
