Jalisco, ready for National Health Week 2025

Jalisco, ready for National Health Week 2025

From September 6 to 13, Jalisco will have a prominent role in National Health Week 2025, a strategy that will be implemented nationwide to promote healthy lifestyles and self-care. This was announced by the Jalisco Ministry of Health (SSJ) during the second regular session of the State Health Council.

The head of the SSJ, Héctor Raúl Pérez Gómez, explained that programs such as Vive Salud, Vive Feliz, Tres por Mi Salud, Salud Casa por Casa, and information campaigns on food labeling will be activated.

Preventive actions will be carried out through a joint effort between the SSJ and the State Health Council institutions, with an emphasis on serving priority groups: indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, older adults, migrants, and children in rural areas.

For his part, Daniel Aceves Villagrán, representative of the federal government, emphasized that the prevention of non-communicable diseases will be strengthened and that maternal, child, mental, and adolescent health will be prioritized.

Activities include health fairs, workshops, information campaigns, screenings, and visits to schools and workplaces, all aimed at reducing gaps and improving population well-being.
