IMSS: In this state, night consultations are offered to beneficiaries.

The director general of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo Aburto, highlighted the implementation of a new nighttime consultation modality in family medicine units.

This is part of the "2-30-100" strategy, which seeks to expand healthcare coverage and maximize the Institute's installed capacity.

During his participation in the morning press conference, Robledo explained that this initiative arose from surveys and comments from beneficiaries themselves, especially in Quintana Roo, where many people work in the tourism sector and find it difficult to get consultations during regular business hours.

"Family medicine consultations on weekends or at other times were very rare, and that's what we want to bring today: a new form of nighttime care." , he indicated.

The program began in the municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancún), with three Family Medicine Units—one in the north, one in the south, and one in the "Héroes de la Salud" unit— where 4,873 nighttime consultations have been provided since May 2.

According to Robledo, this modality is part of the IMSS's effort to make medical services more efficient and flexible according to workers' needs.

"It's about making the most of our installed capacity and adapting to what's most convenient and convenient for our beneficiaries," he said.

The head of the IMSS also reported that, so far this year, 1,305,431 scheduled surgeries have been performed, representing 65% progress toward the target, and 22.6 million specialty consultations (73% progress). Meanwhile, family medicine consultations total 81.6 million, with 106% of office utilization thanks to the opening of new appointments.

The "2-30-100" strategy aims to achieve 2 million surgeries, 30 million specialty consultations, and 100 million family medicine consultations by 2025 , thus consolidating more accessible and continuous medical care for the eligible population.
