Gastrointestinal problems are common during menopause, study finds

Menopause is typically associated with hot flashes, night sweats, and memory lapses, but new research suggests that gastrointestinal issues may be an overlooked problem that also occurs with this life change.
A staggering 94% of nearly 600 UK women aged 44 to 73 reported digestive problems, and of those, 82% said their problems began or worsened during menopause, according to findings presented at a Menopause Society meeting in Orlando, Florida. The meeting runs from today to Saturday.
