Castellanza - Monday in Castellanza the last farewell to Davide Gorla, the shopkeeper killed in his shop in Busto - - Varese News

The funeral of Davide Gorla, the 64-year-old businessman brutally killed in his shop in Busto Arsizio exactly a week ago, will take place on Monday, July 7th in the parish church of San Giulio in Castellanza. The city community will gather around the family at 2:30 p.m. while the rosary will be brought forward to Friday, July 4th at 8:45 p.m.

A massive turnout is expected for the final farewell. Davide, in fact, was very well known in Castellanza where he was born and raised and where he left a fond memory in many Castellanza residents who also knew him for his activism in the parish community, in Busto Arsizio where he worked for almost 30 years as a clerk first and as the owner of the Lineacontinua stationery shop in the courtyard of via Milano 4 and finally in Rescaldina where he had been living for a few years.

There is currently a man in prison accused of having killed him. He is Emanuele Mirti, a 50-year-old man who lived in a rented apartment in Davide Gorla's house. According to investigators, he killed him for economic reasons related to a debt that the alleged murderer had accrued towards the victim.
