Calling for boldness and strong action to challenge public authorities regarding the future of the Saint-Louis hospital, which he believes is not satisfied with the current healthcare offering, Huningue elected official Patrick Striby finally revised his position after meeting with the Minister of Health at the end of April. He now believes in dialogue and calls for calm.

For several months now, Saint-Louis Agglomeration (SLA) community councilor and elected representative from Huningue, Patrick Striby (Renaissance), has been behind several initiatives aimed at restoring greater healthcare provision at the Saint-Louis hospital. His petition, launched at the end of May 2024 and calling for the reopening of the chemotherapy department in Saint-Louis, has gone viral and now has more than 26,000 signatures.
