Sandrine Josso, the MP fighting against chemical submission

In her report on chemical submission , submitted to the government on May 12 and co-written with Senator Véronique Guillotin (Radical Party), MP Sandrine Josso (MoDem) urges the executive to conduct a national and annual awareness campaign on the subject, and to have "a reference document developed by the High Authority for Health " on supporting victims. She herself has been confronted with this: in 2023, the MP publicly accused Senator Joël Guerriau (Horizons) of having drugged her without her knowledge .
This event and this work had the effect of an explosion in her life: "I became aware of the hell of sexual violence against women. Many of them, including female members of parliament, told me that they would not have been able to talk about it, " she says. "I find it terrible. For me, it was natural to do it; I am wired to speak out." Her goal: freeing women from silence and guilt .
A founding promiseA member of parliament for the 7th constituency of Loire-Atlantique since 2017, Sandrine Josso, 49, entered politics in 2014: she was elected to the municipal council of Herbignac, a few kilometers from Guérande, where she was born. The dietician and mother of three children took the plunge after a difficult personal ordeal.
