Lyon: Medical transport of an octogenarian: 756 euros for seven kilometers, a taxi accused

"He cheated her": in Lyon (Rhône), a taxi transporting an octogenarian over 7.4 kilometers billed the Social Security 756.79 euros, reveals Le Progrès .
According to the lawyer for this 83-year-old woman from Marseille, she left the Croix-Rousse hospital in the 4th arrondissement on June 24 to go and rest with her granddaughter in the 8th arrondissement. "She realized, when the hospital gave it to her, that the transport voucher listed her home address in Marseille. She went back to see a secretary who told her it was no problem, that the taxi driver would rectify it." Except that the driver never did...
"The mistake came from the hospital," replies the taxi driver.Contacted by Le Progrès , he believes that "the error came from the hospital," even though the octogenarian claims to have informed him that the address on the prescription was not correct. His company, however, refers to a simple "administrative error" and says it has since asked Social Security to cancel the trip.
The octogenarian's lawyer wrote to the CPAM and the Lyon metropolitan area to denounce what she considers to be a "fraudulent payment."
