Private practice nurses working in patients' homes in Dijon's city center are facing serious parking difficulties, as spaces are scarce. The situation has reached the point that some streets, deemed inaccessible by car, are now excluded from their rounds. Testimonials.

"It's become stressful! It's a big worry to have butterflies in your stomach when you're working, even though you're paying for an annual subscription that you can't use: on market days, there are no spaces anywhere! You can drive around for twenty minutes without finding one, and it's the same for delivery spaces!" says Emmanuelle Bérard, 31, a private nurse working in Dijon.

On August 3, 2024, market day, she was due to visit patients on Rue Bannelier. Finding no space to provide home care, she resigned herself to parking on a median near her patients' homes. "I had left my vehicle with the hazard lights on, my caduceus, and a sign that read: 'In care, thank you for your understanding.'" Despite these precautions, and having only been gone for a few moments, she was fined. "I contested this €135 ticket for very obstructive parking," the nurse testified.
